چکیده

Abstract Introduction Sleep complaints are prevalent and impairing symptoms among adolescents with ADHD. Our recent work has shown that key aspects of sleep physiology differentiate ADHD from healthy controls (HC), including reduced slow-wave percentage (SWS%) relative delta power (rDelta) increased stage 2 (N2%) sigma (rSigma) after accounting for duration. ADHD-related problems may emerge as early toddlerhood, yet little is known about the trajectory disturbances over time in The current study examines relationships between childhood adolescent HC. Methods Sixty-two medication-free (31 ADHD, mean age=15.3, 50% female) completed a diagnostic interview (Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview) 3 nights at-home polysomnography. Spectral analysis was conducted on single O1-C3 channel. Caregivers reported participants’ during toddlerhood preschool (Child Behavior Questionnaire; CBQ). Linear regressions controlling age, sex, pubertal status examined implicated (SWS%, rDelta, N2%, rSigma) whether associations differed groups. Results Adolescents had greater caregiver-reported compared to HC (t(60)=3.71, p<.001). In full sample, were associated SWS% (β=-.28, p=.04) rDelta (β=-.27, p=.04), rSigma (β=.33, p=.02), adolescence.
